The Saxon King is situated on the A1159 which is just off the main arterial road the A127 into Southend-on-Sea. It gets its name from the remains of a Saxon King that were found in 2004 at the archaeological site north east of Priory Park which the pub overlooks. Boasting an excellent and varied menu with Rotisserie chicken at the heart of it, making it a great venue to dine with friends and family. Children will love the dedicated kids menu and indoor and outdoor play areas, allowing you to relax with a meal, or a choice from our great range of drinks. Including an excellent choice of cask ales from Marston's five breweries, a great wine selection, featuring choices from the Rothschild wineries as well as a range of soft drinks and spirits.
